Playback restrictions can be placed on your DVD player by choosing a level of parental control and setting up a password within the settings menu. To set the parental control, follow these steps:
Turn the TV on and select the correct TV input
on the remote, press setttings
press tune down to highlight "system setup" and press enter to confirm
press tune down to highlight "dvd setup" and press enter to confirm
press tune down to highlight "parental control setup" and press enter to confirm
on the remote, enter a four-digit password by using the numeric keys
Enter the same four digits again in the new password block that appears
Note: If a password has already been created, enter your four digit password
"restrict unrated titles" will be highlighted. if the "restrict unrated titles" option is set to "on," all unrated dvd's will be blocked and not viewable. if this option is set to "off," all unrated dvds will be viewable. press seek forward to turn the selection on or off
press tune down to highlight "allow ratings." the allowed ratings option blocks access to dvds rated higher than the rating selected
use seek back and seek forward to select the desired restriction level. see rating chart below for options
press enter to confirm your selection and then press exit to leave the menu
